Chocolate Chia Pudding

This has become my post-training snack, I only made it because I had half a can of coconut milk to use up and now it's a regular thing; so I unhalved (or redoubled) the recipe back to a whole can. I'm also just using up my date paste for this and will probably switch to a more convenient sweetener. I think molasses would probably be pretty good.

1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup hot water
2 tablespoons date paste or sweetener of choice to taste
1 can coconut milk
1/2 cup chia seeds

Whisk together cocoa and hot water in a large bowl or pitcher. Whisk in sweetener, then coconut milk. Stir in the chia seeds.

Let the pudding rest for about thirty minutes at room temperature. Stir, then refrigerate for at least four hours until very thick.
